Run Your Own Code Collaboration Site
If you'd like to have similar functionality as Code.GreySparling for your own PeopleSoft work, we'd love to help you with that. It takes about an hour to setup a local installation so that you can check-in in your own PeopleSoft projects and automatically migrating them between your PeopleSoft environments.
Differences
There are a number of differences between how Code.GreySparling is configured and how customers configure an internal instance of Grey Sparling Version Control and Release Management for PeopleSoft.
- Code.GreySparling does not know about your PeopleSoft environments, so it can't automatically migrate the code hosted here into your environment. Customer installations of Grey Sparling Version Control and Release Management for PeopleSoft do have this ability.
- Customer installations of Grey Sparling Version Control and Release Management for PeopleSoft include a very powerful plugin for Application Designer that works directly with the version control server.
- Code.GreySparling is publicly hosted and focused more on one-off projects that solve a particular problem or demonstrate a concept, so each project is typically kept standalone. Customer installations have all of their PeopleSoft objects managed together, along with some extra capabilities to help manage overlapping development efforts where multiple developers need to modify the same object.
